#10497, "Salt Creek Report"

Surffished Salt Creek from 7 to 8:30pm tonight. Lots of wind and kelpy, but luckily there were some weed free areas. Caught and released 3 Barred perch quickly when suddenly, I lost my weight and hook when it tangled on the handle right before casting (duh!). Spent a long time retying...couldn't tie my old trusty palomar knot due to the wind, so I just tied some crappy knot as it was getting dark. Of course, I got a solid strike on my last sandcrab which I knew was no perch. Was a fun 16 inch corbina that I caught and released (glad the knot held). Beautiful orange-pink sunset as well. I'll take this over watching TV anytime!
