#10607, "Where to fish?"

We'll be launching the Whaler outta Newport, possibly Dana. Just curious if we should head towards the flats, or other areas instead. We'll, be going out Thursday and Friday to try different spots, so wanted some advice from the experts. Been reading that things were slowing down so had some concerns re: the slow down and the rough waters. We'll target anything, I need the practice!!!

I worked out of Dana last weekend and we had great action on sandies, barracuda, and a couple of yellows about a half an hour south at about 10 knots. I dont know how far this is but just fish plastics in greens and browns for everything. We had the sandbass come up on top alot so fish the top of the water column.

Make that an hour south at 10 knots. Straight out from the power plant about 2 miles in 80-150 ft of water. Look for fish on the meter.

thanks I'm pretty sure I know the area you were at, we're still debating heading that way tomorrow or head north then south on Friday.
