Since I was going to the AOP (Long Beach Aquarium), I'm a volunteer, I went a little early to do some fishing on the jetty. My bro and nephew were already there since they are having Spring Break. They already fished the morning but had to go back to the bait buffet to get more bait. I met them there and we headed to the jetty. Got there to see a buddy was already there. Talk to him for a little while and walked out further on the jetty. Missed two pick ups. Saw a school of about 100 mullets swimming around. There was a some red tide so went to fish the channel. First bait got picked up as soon as it hit bottom. Set the hook, the fish took about 5 sec of drag and spit. At 12:10 got pick up again. Real nice fish with strong head shakes. Brought it up close took a pic. Measure it at 25 inches. My buddy came fish next to where I caught the fish and nailed a 20 inch about 5 minutes later. Left at 12:30 got to get to the aquarium.
