#14521, "Torium or Takota?"

I am adding a new saltwater rig to my arsenal. I already have purchsed a seeker 8 footer cork grip and was wondering what reel to put on it. I will be using it for rockfish jigging and throwing irons for bass in the kelp. Probably run braid or 20lb mono on it. Any saltwater sticks have suggestions.

Thanks -Jake

Hi Jake, I think a Tor14 will suit you just fine. Small and lite.
The Teks I feel are fine for rockfishing but for throwing iron I would prefere a non levelwind. I have seen guys casting the Tek and it comes nowhere near as far as other non levelwind reels. I have the Tor14
And have used it once for SWRF. If your interested I'm willing to let it go. I have other freshwater needs that's the only reason I'm willing to let it go.
The Tor16 is also a great option. I only mentiond the Tor14 because you are using braid, so you'll have plenty of line capacity.
