I went to the back bay on the first and hammered a 22lb leopard on fifteen lb test. Too much fun!! That was the only fish that night but things are heating up.. I think this big male was back there "cruizin for chicks." In another month the bay is alive with sharks and shovelnose. I look forward to this action every year I have been back there with three friends and all of us goin "bendo!" I release 99 percent of the fish caught because it is a nursery. If I keep any fish it is only the males because the fems are gravid. If anyone lives in the Morro BAy area and wants to go with me on these night time outings just e-mail me. I am going to go for some flatties in the bay in about a week so I will let you know how that turns out.
