This will be a short trip report, the full trip report will follow sometime this week.

Jizames called me at 10 am, and we contacted Broomstick and Mr. Tree and the trip was on. Jizames picked me up and then we picked up the two others and headed up the coast. we fished the Pacific Horizon, left the dock at 10:30 on friday night with a couple of tanks of 4-5 inch chovies and dines.

We headed out 70-80 miles... fished the grey light at around 70+ miles in a zone that they had seen good signs of fish the day before, for nada.

Trolled our way out to 83 miles, ended up with only one troll fish all day. The rest of the fish came off of puddling/jumping fish.

The boat ended up with 17 fish for the day, the fish were 12-16 lbs. The crew and captain went out of their way to try to make em bite, and were as frustrated as we were. The taco rolls were INSANE!! had to order a second one before I had finished the first. YUMMY!

The fishy gods looked down on me, and with a hot lure, I was able to squeak 4 fish that day, losing the JP by only a few ounces.... bummer! Jizames got two fish, both Mr. Tree and Broomstick lost fish. Bummer! I had a great time, got to meet Mr. Tree and Broomstick. I look forward to fishing with them again soon.

Out of 9 private boats that fished the inside that day, no one caught fish. Only the Admiral did better than us. The fish were full of Sauries, so it is hard to get them to charge the boat when they are feeding on other bait.
