My name is Ruben Valdez the halibut king, I can out fish anyone at halibut fishing, if you go to goleta beach I will be there with my stringer full of halibut. I keep nothing under 25" I like to keep them when there nice and fat. The date is October 27,on saterday at the beach, TIME:8:00 AM "IF YOU WANT TO COME IN SECOND FOLLOW ME"

These kids are funny. And yes even Brian's one too (at least from my point of view), though he is the Halibut Comander. Pete, that's one sweet pic, knowing how big your tube is really puts it into perspective. Talks cheep, pics boys, let's see the pics. I've seen Brian in action, and seen his pics. I fish Goleta quite a bit and I must say there aren't any times I can think of seeing anyone with "stringers full of halibut".

I think what Rat was trying to say is "King" keeps, Rat releases. As for "Stringers full", I wouldn't call a limit of Hali's a "Stringer Full", and if he's putting more than a limit on a stringer, I hope the DFG has something to say about it with a FAT $ sign tacked to it.

Sorry Rat, I live in San Diego County. Why don't you and the King come down here next month for the team challenge? Then we can have some fun together, no matter who wins. As for pics to prove myself, well...I'm not really claiming anything, you are. I could make claims, but I'd rather sit and laugh at you and King. Start bringing a camera all the time, then you can back your claims. I carry one most of the time now, worth it for the nicer fish.
