I fished sunday with harbor rat and cought some short halibut. And when it got dark we tryed at the bait docks and got some hits and no luck. Harbor Rat had to go so i droped him off at sea landing. So i went back out and made a quick stop AND A GOOD STOP I though out and got slamed FISH ON it was taking drag like a race horse it took about 15 min still on and fiting dident now what it was so i played him out. Saw color and know it was BIG i saw a fishing boat and waved him in and i said do you have a gaff i have a big on. They said yes i do and got the gaff ready and i got it up to the surface and it was a nice size white sea bass he gaffed it and i said thanks i drove back to my slip and got the fish and called my dad to pick me up. It was 38inch 20 pounds and nice if you want to see the pictures all have some up in harbor tackle all try to post some too.

Sweet, awesome fish! Nice to hear there are still some big croakers hanging around. I put in a lot of time this year but they didn't turn on like they did last year.

What did you get it on and what test line? Also, did you actually weigh it - was it 20 pounds even? Can't wait to see the pics.
