Hey, I've noticed that rockfish are in the fish counts for SB and Ventura Counties! Does this mean that that the January/February rockfish closure is not in place this year? That seems to conflict with the DFG's 2002 regs.

Found info on this topic on the Sportfishing of California Association's web site:

Apparently, we are still ok fising for them in water less than 120 feet deep. According to the link above, these regs still need to be approved by the Office of Administrative Law which hasn't happened yet before they can be enforced. If anyone has better info. I would be very interested to know the scoop.
