White Knuckles"... Friday mdr seabass w/pic"

LAST EDITED ON Jun-10-02 AT 05:08 PM (PDT)

Took my boat "White Knuckles" out 6/7/02 in search of some
croaker with friends Kurt Valles, and Robert Flaata.Left mdr at
3am headed for a spot off of the Getty museum. It was pretty much
dead.Couldn't get any squid to float. Too much red crab and dines.
So about 7am I decided to head up the line about a mile.I metered
around in 80 feet and on the first drift my partner Rob puts a 31#
on the boat. on the next drift my other buddy puts a 20# on the boat.
Now it's my turn.....I had to wait untill 4:30pm to get mine. But it was well worth the wait. My toad went 40#.It looked like a 50#.In the afternoon We were pulling drifts in 100 ft of water directly out from the Getty.I was using a quarter ounce egg sinker on a Graftech XXL with 15# Maxima .It's gonna be a zoo this weekend.Go get em before they split. The squid are all spawned out.

Thanks for the report Shane, that's a very nice fish.

If you have an HP brand scanner and it's scanning in with one color too heavy (looks like blue in the pic) you can try turning the scanner off, unplugging it, and then toggling the locking mechanism back and forth. The locking mechanism is usually a little green switch on the side or underneath. Doing that will reposition the scanning element and should make the colors look normal.

Thanks for the info Rob. But the problem was with the film. When I had them developed, the lady told me my film had heat damage. Which
makes since cause I left the camera in the hot sun all day Sat. The worst part about it was my buddies pictures didn't come out at all.
Some day I'll spring for a digital.....Tight lines....Shane
