Another slow day at King Harbor for me. I soaked some frozen squid in 30-70ft of water at Hermosa for one short bite. Went back to the harbor and on the way threw the plastic at the breakwall for one 14" calico and another fish that I assume was a calico that ran right into the wall and rocked me. I thoroughly fished the harbor (including the slips in the back) and only got 1 short halibut in the middle of the channel. Both fish were caught on the 5" Blue Prizm 'Chovy Big Hammer, I downsized all the way to 3" baits but didn't even get bit. I saw one private boater break off a nice bonito near the bait barge but other than that it was dead. Crummy conditions out there right now, that why I was in the harbor for most of the day :) Tommy
