#9299, "Kelp Bass at Boneyards"

Do you know how many fins (scags) I've lost at boneyards? Well today she gave back alittle.

The sun was finally about to break through, the wind never amounted to much and a glassy patch of water at the boilers next to the small jetty was inviting. I trolled my way out there. My drag was set a medium. All of a sudden, the reel start to sing, long and hard. A 15" kelp bass fought as hard as any keeper white sea bass I landed at Doho. My 6" power pulse worm with its watermelon flake was my productive tool for the short afternoon session.

I caught two at 15" kelpers, one 18" sand bass and a half dozen at 10-12"sandys. All were released except the biggest. It's taco Wednesday.
