The MadGill is the second bait out from the folks at Baitsmith. Their original swimbait has been a fish catcher, chalking up a number of tournament wins to go with some strong PR. My initial feeling with the MadGill is that it will follow the same road.
I have not had a chance to put this one in the water yet, but the first hand reports that came my way have been all positive. The lure is getting bit. The MadGill is 5" long and weigh 1.75oz. The sink rate is reported to be around 1.5 feet per second. There are two colors.
The colors are on the light side of what you'd expect in a bluegill bait, but they are passable. I would expect more colors as time passes. TW has the bait for online ordering as of today.

Rob,
How does this bait compare in size to a Mattlures Blue Gill? Could you possibly post a picture of the baits side by side? I would sill love to see your pictures of baits with some sort of common reference item (such as a quarter) to help get the idea of bait size.
