That is an incredible fish!! That was a close one though, if he would of missed that fish on the first try with the net it would of been gone. I was surprised to see him not trying to keep the fish down when it was jumping. Jake J

Rob, after watching it a second time you are right, there wasn't much he could do with that fish. Only took him 20 seconds to get it in. Jake J

Outstanding fish. Butch Rocks. He fishes so hard; almost evertime I fish the after-puddle, he is on the lake. He humbles most of us. Here is one time. I was trying out a "New" technique, undershotting, as it was called back in 1997, with the legendary John Zank. I rigged up a 5.5 inch Zank worm, and fished one of Zank's spots in 48 feet of water. I got the big bite, and fought the below fish on 4lb. for quite a while, and Zank lipped it for me. I brought it up (in a weight in b ag of course) to the ranger station were it was certified at 11.00 pounds. I was basking in my five min. of fame, when the ranger told me to hurry up because Butch was bringing up THREE fish to weigh in. Two were bigger than mine. I scurried down to the dock to release my meager catch.
