I was checking out the results from the WON Pro/Am this weekend on the Delta. While the weights were maybe down a little from what was expected, there were 4 fish over 10 weighed in and two over 13lbs! Check out the weights

Jerry Fournier - 13.18lbs
Ken Cassettari - 12.26lbs
Steve Sapp - 10.34lbs

It's amazing what's in that Delta out there.

340 skilled fishermen fishing for two days in the middle of the spawn. Maybe not SO amazing.

Well yes that is true. And I'm sure the guys who know the river where saving up some spots where they had some big fish. I guess I was most impressed that there were two 13lbers caught. Fish to 11lbs or so get caught in almost every tourney out there, but I haven't seen too many tourneys were there were fish over 13 caught, let alone two of them.

I'm not so sure that the spawn has really turned on in the Delta yet. I have been spending alot of time just looking around in the Delta for the past month, and today was the first day I saw good numbers of females locking onto beds. I lost count by the time I got off the water, but I saw three that were in the teens. I think it is getting ready to bust open this week.(Although it sure was cold this morning). I still "officially" have two weeks before I can fish with the shoulder, but this weekend looks good!!!!!!
