Big Bait fisherman develop milk runs where they hit a spot for a few casts then move on to another spot. This is easy in a boat but how do people who shore fish do their milk run?
Are you more likely to stay in one spot changing baits or stick with the same principle of only making a few casts looking for the active fish and walking to another area? Keep in mind I am talking more about fishing with swimbiats and not plastic worms.

I hit the spots that look that they might be holding fish or where it seems like a good ambush spot. Either that or I know where the fish have hit before and just hit those spots for a while or the whole day then move on to the next. If there are baitfish around I just stick around where the baitfish are and follow them the best I can. At spots, I will cast along the shoreline, then at a 45 degree angle, then straight out, then at a 135 degree angle, then along the other shoreline. I keep doing this til I get a hit. Plus it gives the fish a chance to hear what all the commotion is about.

It all depends on the spot. I have spots that I'll come and thought at 4-6 times then move on but it its a great spot come back and do it again. I fished a spot 5-6 times one day on a lay down that i could see a large tail under just never see her. End of the day she came out and i gave her a kiss. Rolland style. If its a large lake this would porable all change as well. Keying on points ect ect.
