Go to every fishing website on the internet, post your photo, and say "hey guys my scale died and I'm wondering how big you think this bass is?"

Then every barni who has never caught a 10lber in their life can come on and tell you how they think it's a 6 :) ha!

Nice fish btw. Today is $$$$$$ money and I am at work. Foooey!

Yeah I put it at about 8 or so... long but no real girth. Hard to tell but in the picture you can see part of a gill. I thought somehow my bait had did this but when I looked into the mouth that gill was basically missing and had healed over except part of it was hanging out.

Today was a good day to go out. :P

Yeah, I heard a bass has to be at least 6 pounds before it will bite a swimbait. Is that true?

I thought it was 8 and ONLY in tiny trout stocked lakes AND it is as easy as throwing one out and they jump on the hooks...


I really need a DD largemouth... Been catching stripers way too much this year...

When I fisrt saw the pic I though 8lbs. I wasnt going to give you my opinion but since it maches you guess then its all good. I actualy think The oposite of Rob. I think the Barnies would be calling it 10. They usualy over estimate. Its even worse in person. If you drove around the lake and showed people I think most would guess high. Nice fish BTW I need to get out Its been months since I went freshwater bass fishing.

Who cares what it weighed, you caught it on a Slammer. Nice fish.

It's always nice to be able to say it weighted 8.5 instead of around 8ish maybe kinda sort of I think.

This wasn't meant to be a hey whats this thing weigh post.

Guess it should be a reminder to everyone to make sure their scale, camera, etc are working.

I was in no way intending to give you a bad time. Just laughing because I see so many posts about "what did it weigh" that get sabotaged by people who really don't know. That's a nice fish. I would say 9 and a quarter. But what do I know either :)

Yep... any Slammer bite is a good thing. As soon as I saw green and not silver I knew it was a largemouth and not a striper and the anxiety to get it in grew tenfold...

Swimbait fish are a minumum of 6lbs dontcha know.

I would put it at, lets see...between a 'nice bass' and a 'very nice' size bass, but shy of an 'extremely nice bass'.
