Hello. I read the board but this is my first time posting. I have been considering the redisgned Ambassador C3 reels. My question is one the reel what does it say the line capacity for twelve ound test is? And how do the Cosair 300 and 400 hold up when compared to the the Ambassador 6500C3 and 5600C3? I have a couple of the Calcutta 400 but am looking for some back up outfits for the boat. One more long shot of a question has anyone fished the Lamiglas G1300C-T or the G1218-T rods before? What about the Loomis HSR930C or HSR9000C rods? Thanks

I just got the hsr930c and have decided to use no more than 10lb on it. I like its length and fairly moderate action for light tackle bay/surf fishing with 4" and smaller swimbaits, up to 1/2oz leadheads, and 1/2oz carolina rigs. Fun for spotted bay bass, small sandies, calicos and rockfish in the open. It doesn't have nearly enough backbone for larger swimbaits with 3/4 - 1oz+ leadheads and big trout plugs. For that, try the loomis swr108-20c, the swr843c, or the calstar 800L, which I use for swimbait calico fishing, or other rods recommended on this board. I don't do much freshwater fishing, so hope this helps.
