#3531, "what type of swimbait?"

hi there,
I am new to this forum but I soon realized that all you guys know lots about big bassin. My question is you number one swimbait? what do you like best? sinking, floating, suspending or slow sink? I know it mainly depends on the fishing conditions but what has work well for you.
thanks in advance
eric

I keep telling myself "this is the last rod/reel."

Welcome to the forum. Like you said, there's a swimbait for just about every situation and it's tough to pin donw one that works "best". It's like saying which crankbait is best, or which soft plastic bait is best. With that said, we all have our personal favorites, or confidence baits. Mine personally is the 9" MS Slammer. I think basically if you pick a decent swimbait, throw it a bunch, catch some fish on it and get some confidence in it that's all that matters. Who's to say stocker trout wouldn't be my go to bait if I threw it as much as a slammer?

Check out the articles on this site, buy yourself a plug or two and see if it fits your style, then build from there. When most people give you an answer to the "best" swimbait, they're probably telling you their personal confidence bait. If a bunch of people have confidence in one bait or another, it's probably a good place to start.
