#408, "lake record at Perris?"

Does anyone know what the lake record bass at Perris is? I got an e-mail this morning with a huge eighteen pound bass from there saying it was a new lake record. Does anyone know anything about this? Just wondering.

Not sure how good this link is, but it says the LMB record is 17.6 lbs.

The link rick posted is correct and 17.6 was the record. If someone caught an 18 then that would be the new record.

Friday was a phenomenal day at Lake Perris. We got a call Friday from a friend of ours (Scott Whitmer)fishing Perris. Scott and his fishing buddies caught several nice bass up to 12 lbs using Osprey Talons. He witnessed the weighing of an 18.0 lb caught by a guy from Idaho using a Generic Trout. This is now a ceritified lake record. There is a picture of the guy with his fish on our webpage at www.umaxco.com We have received lots of great pictures chronicling this amazing day.

Right on, tis the season for the big girls! Some of the guys that smoke the big ones don't worry about the records, they just catch 'em and release them. My New Year's Resolution is to break the teen mark, got no love at MV on Sunday, but I'll be back. Remember when Perris used to kick out the record spot? The Floridas took over.

It's the generic trout. I guess you could say it's "home made"

If the reports are true, then the fish was taken on a trolled Osprey Talon swimbait. Until I see or a picture or talk to someone who has seen a photo that I trust it sounds kind of funny to me.
