Okay, just a simple question. I have the sevenstrand wire and I have the crimps. I guess I crimp one end to where the first treble is, then crimp a treble an inch or two behind it. My question is, where is the best place to imbed the stinger hook? How far back should it be?>

Thanks.

I just put in an order for the softbait and would also like to hear what other have to say about placement of the stinger hook. Any pics or suggestions?

That's all I did. Nothing fancy at all. wire crimps, 2/0 hook. I put the hooks really close. The idea there is that I'm not putting the stinger to try to hook fish that eat the tail, I'm just trying to get two hooks in the fish instead of one so they can't shake it out. If you're getting bit in the tail and missing fish, maybe you should move it back. It's not like there's one 'right way' to do stinger hooks :) The fish get to decide what's right and wrong in that department.

Thanks for the pic...my main question was by putting the stinger back on the back section of the trout if it effects the action of the bait, but from the picture it looks like you put a lil slack.
