#445, "More big baits...."

here are some more big baits and info on em from cabelas salt catalog, to give me something to do and save you time!!:

1. Storm Wildeye Swimbaits-internal lead, finish very detailed (but no trout pattern) big hook, which looks like it needs to be sharpened, a cool eye. sizes:5",6". price: 2.99 per 4.

2. Big Game Shads-just lures, no weight or hook, finish not great but its the action that counts, streamline body will make for good action. sizes:4", 5", 6", 9", 12". price: 3.49-7.49 and count depends on size.

3. Berkley Inshore Power Swimbait-almost same as big game shads, better finishes. sizes:dont say! price:3.99 per 6.

4. Seaside Samurai Shad-no weight or hook, about the same as the last 2, little more detailed bodies, yum attractant. size:4".
price:3.49 per 10

5. Castaic Swim Baits-no need for explanation right?

6. Mann's Mannhaden-my favorite in this book, very detailed, fins, even a fin on the top of the paddletail, eyes, good finish to it, comes with a jighead which takes from the naturality of the bait, but i think i could do something with some trebles. sizes:8", 11". price:7.89 for 2 8"ers of 1 11"er.

7. Flex Lure Fish Tail: similar to 2, 3, and 4, has a strealmine body and the fin on the paddle, cool eyes, pocket to insert a jighead with an eye at the top, a cool trout pattern. size:6". price:3.69 per 2.

8. H&H Cocahoe Minnows- similar to 2,3,4, and 7, pretty sucky colors, but the action might be good, has fins, but not on the paddle. sizes:3",4" price:3.25-3.75, dependinng on size.

All these look pretty good, my personal favorites are 1, 5, 6, and 7. Im glad to see more companies coming out with swimbaits like the storm one. this thing is cool. check into em and see what happens!

It never ceases to amaze me how many companies are jumping on the bandwagon. Seems all of a sudden everybody's making a swimbait now that they're becoming popular. Kind of cool I guess.
