#533, "I finally did it, new rod"

I called my order in today for a Shimano Calcutta 8" CL-820XFA rod and Calcutta TE 400 Reel. I can't wait till it shown up at my door.
I turns out Wolff Fishing sells Shimano stuff at 10% below list as opposed to every other shop selling it at list.

Nice choice, that stick is my favorite for throwing the bigger stuff. Just picked up an Osprey from Bass World West, looks sweet, can't wait to try it this weekend.

Wow. You didn't mess around when selecting your tackle. Good choice. That'll be an awesome calico bass rod too if you ever fish the saltwater.

damn homie, that's some nice stuff. I have basically the same setup, except my calcutta isn't a TE. I love this setup, only thing missing is a big ol' bass.

Ya I splurged! The last couple of years I figure with all the money I spend on the the things I have to have like truck repairs, taxes, insurance, and then spending $40 in gas and launch fees, buy the best equipment for all the hours I will hopefull put in on the water. It also helps the comfidance. I have been feeling down lately, and figured I deserved it.

Wanted to give you an update on rod from Wolff Fishing, they had good price BUT they quoted me 7 day delivery and the reel took 3 weeks and the rod is still not here and won't be here till next week, thats 4 weeks. They told me they were giong to drop ship the stuff, which they did not, then they said they would send it out priority, they sent the reel out 2nd day but sent the rod out ground, I think they did it on purpose because of cost. I giong to talk to them about refunding all shipping costs.

Give them hell!! When they offer low prices, but don't deliver with good service, they need to hear about it with both barrels. It never takes that long to get product, but it's easy to string people along when your money is already in their account.

They did drop the 12.95 shipping charges, but I still think a good business should have offered to do so after 3 phone call asking "where's my stuff?". To tell you the truth very seldom do I get good service from any mail order companies, which is why I spit on Bass Pro Shops!
