Let me tell you what. After a year of Just Swimbait fishing, going back to other rods was strange. It was like I was fishing with Barney and Snoopy rods LOL!! Hook sets felt strange (lot of missed fish), casting was strange and everything. Plus I had not been out night fishing for a year on top of all of that. WOW! I had forgot what a fight can be like on a good one. It was taking TOOOOOOOO LONG....... to get them in LOL!! Now I had to net a 4 LB fish instead of swing um. What a difference. I guess it was fun to do it again. I used to hate day fishing till I started swimbait fishing. Now I like them both :D So pick up one of your other rods now and then so you don't lose touch like me. LOL!

Good luck in that tourney Don! :D I know exactly what you mean, when I stuck that 9 on a jig this year I didn't know what to do... she was taking drag and I couldn't jerk her head around! lol. You don't realize how much different it is until you have to switch back.

Thats funny you talk about using little snoopy rods, because today I caught a 6lb 5oz bass on this little crappy bright red rental rod at lake chabot just goofing off!
Its always fun to do that stuff but 6lbs is my record for the rental gear :P
