Is it just me or is everybody else on this board waiting for the cold weather. I remember the days when I couldn't wait for the hot weather to get here so the bass fishing would be easy. Now I can't wait for the weather to be cold and nasty so the big bass fishing will be good.
What are some of your goals for the upcoming trophy season, say November through May.

1. Catch more fish over 10lbs this year. (3 on swimbaits this year and one on a worm at night)

2. Learn the lakes I fish a little better and maybe try to fish a couple other lakes.

3. Gain confidence in more baits this year.

4. Put a GPS tracker on Don's boat so I know his every move.

I'm sure i'll think of some more...

...Tap into Jake's GPS tracker... }(
For me, I'm still working on the same goals, this year is far from over! I took a long hiatus this summer and stopped fishing for trophy bass just to relax for a while but I've had a couple lucky goes anyway and now I'm ready for the fall!

Yeah I've been on a little bass fishing hiatus too. It's my busy season at work which will last until the weather starts to cool. Those guys have been busy up in the hills this year. I might be able to sneak away for a couple of more night trips though.

Hey Jake- good question. I have not fished since June- I hate summer and don't even really attempt it, but I am going camping and night fishing for a few days next week- I am even weaseling may way out of doing a goose hunting seminar up in WA on Wed. Brad will have to do it by himself- he he.
My goal is to fish this Fall and not get caught-up chasing neck collars. Goal #2 is to fish in the dead of winter, which is almost unheard-of here. I am thinking that the big fish still eat all winter. #3 is to get a smallmouth on a Hudd. We have a lake with some gorillas (I am mounting our latest state record- over 8 pounds) and I think I can catch one on a Hudd at least by next Spring- sounds like fun trying, anyway. Lastly, I would like to try to get down your way and do some fishing or get you up here for some goose hunting or both!
Dave

Bring on Fall!! My main goal is to dial in Folsom. I have learned a little in the last year, but that lake still frustrates me. I have a pass that is good till July next year and I can't wait till the weather scares all the pleasure boaters off the lake. I also just got another swimbait setup that I am excited to break in on some monster spotties and largmouth.

Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what have-yous

To Damn funny Jake LOL!!! You know all we have to do is get the same day off some time and go. It just seems to never work out. Matt you don't need that just call and we go. I promise we wont go to Turlock Lake LOL!!

1)I would like a upper Teen.(15+)
2)Get more confidence in some more lures would be cool.
3)Get a 5 fish limit to 50+ (BP now is 48) or 4 over ten same day.
4)Not sure of the new lake thing. Pedro is big enough to keep me busy. I will hit a few others anyway I am sure.
5)Try not to cast any lures off LOL!
1)< this should be number one. Get my Wife her first swimbait fish.

Best of luck to us all.

Don.

One of these days the moons and stars will line up and we'll be able to get a trip in together. You know it's my busy time of the year, when my gardening duties are over I'll be able to fish a bunch more. I had like 50hrs of overtime the last two weeks. I'll be gardening 6 days out of my next 8 work days so no fishing for a couple of weeks. I've got to get back out at night, there was too many water fleas out today.

To be honest, trophy season is pretty much all I can think about. School starts a week from Monday, I've caught all the dorado and yellowtail that I care to talk about, and it sounds crazy but the wide open pond fishing is just getting boring. I NEED that first cold front LOL.
