I sent back my silver corsair 400 to shimano today because the anti-reverse has been flacky. I hope they send me a new gold one.

I sent back three of them about a year ago, no reciept, box, or warranty card. 2 days later when I got home from work there was a box from Shimano on my doorstep with 3 reels in it. They are a quality company with GREAT customer service. You should have a new reel in a couple of days.

My Corsair is about 2 years old and in great condition, I used it last weekend and it worked fine, but before that the antireverse sucked! So I sent it back with no receipt also, Just a note saying "no antireverse". I'v got my fingers crossed. Over the weekend I went to turn on all the brakes so my father could cast the big lures a bit and one of the brakes went in the drink, oops! I could not find it.

I just sent back two corsairs that were literally full of sand, missing parts etc. etc. and Shimano returned two brand new corsairs no questions asked. The reels were returned back to me well within a week of the day I sent the reels. The sad part is I already damaged one of them surf fishing so if you are going to fish your reels hard I would try getting something else. The corsairs really suck. I know of some dudes that have been able to trade up to a more reliable reel at some tackle tackle stores in the SD area, I tried but the owners would have none of that. I'm totally sure Shimano won't give you a hard time, cause I sent them two reels in the worst possible shape..........

Well Anyhow there's my Corsair story

Tight Lines.................
