Well you guys sure didn't waste any time with the big bass days of March contest. We've already had two fish over 10 and several other good ones reported. And it's only March 6th?!

Before we do pictures, lets have a look a the loot that will go to the top fish. This is some good stuff!

Jeff Smith is in the lead with this 11.50lb Coyote fish caught on a 6" Aaron's Magic roboworm

Mike Minkiewicz was close with this 10.81lb hawg, also from Coyote, the same day as Jeff's fish. This lunker was caught on a Norman DD22 crankbait

Joel Goyette (sp?) caught this very nice Northern strain Santa Margarita fish on a 7" Osprey that weighed in at 6.80lbs.

We've got more than 3 weeks to go and here are my pics.

Jeff is going to be tough to beat with an 11.50. That's for sure. My top picks to take the honors are as follows:

Nicolo Raffo - because I know he's going to be spending a lot of time at San Pablo.

Mike Minkiewicz - because I know he'll be on Coyote a lot and he's been on the big fish like no other this year.

Wes n from Bakersfield - I think Wes might just show up with an Isabella hog to suprise us all.

My sleeper picks are as follows:

Fish Chris - because Chris might just pull a hog on his Castaic trout or a jig.

Brian Long - But only if he goes to Casitas and puts in the time.

Ryan Thoni - It's been a while since Chabot has been talked about, but Ryan will probably remind us sometime this month.

Go get 'em :-)

Fish must be caught under tournament style rules ie. no live bait. So you are still the leader dude.

That really puts the pressure on the rest of us. Im going to give it a try sat night or sun morn depending on my schedule (actually my girl's schedule)
