Hi,

Just got one of the Cabela's maintenance-free 12V batteries w/charger. There were no charging instructions. If it's a 7 Ah battery and the charger is 12V @ 500 ma, should I assume I need to charge it 14 hours (7 Ah / .5A = 14 hours) for full charge?

If it's like the one i have I think they say not to charge it more than 8 hours.Maybe the 1st charge would be longer but I can't remember.:) You can always call them and talk to a product specialist, I'm sure they would know.

I didnt get any instructions with mine either. I usually use my battery for 2 trips (12 to 14 hours using a fish finder) and then charge it around 12 hours or so. I think swampy helped me with this same question when i got my cabelas battery.
