Does this sound familiar? "If no one objects, I would like to fish with Binh?"

So? I sent an email to William to draw names that are back in the hat. Waiting to hear from him, but Binh, if you want to partner with me and there are "No Objections" cool.

At least that way we can make plans together before showing. Plus I am pre-fishing this Saturday with couple other SCBBBC people.

Does this sound familiar? "If anyone has a problem with it let me know." There were no objections or concerns raised at the meeting where the chance was presented, so I assumed it was cool with everyone. Knowing the kind of seasoned and experienced guys in this group I would've hoped that you would've come to me or one of the other officers before airing your greivences online in a public forum. If I am misunderstanding the intent of your post, let me know and we can talk about it.

SCOTT

Geezze Scott, there were no objections at the meeting, and I was there. I think you are misunderstaning my post. Sounded like Binh would like to fish with either of us so I asked, like you did at the meeting, "IF there are no objections"?. Sorry if you took it wrong, I thought it was funny!

John

PS: And being new to the club and with what transpired at the meeting, I tried to follow you, ask if there are any objections, and, well things apparently went down hill from there. Gosh, don't get so ruffled, I just want to fish, have fun and not make anyone mad. OK?

I think we all understand that it is difficult to decipher tones of voice, or mannerisms in posts or e-mails. John, you seem like a good guy and yes the " " in your posts could have gone either way when I read it, but it's all good.

Dave

Binh, its all your fault :P

LOL, there are always going to be misinterpretations. I wish I knew what was going on here but hope everyone understands this seems to be just that, a MISUNDERSTANDING! :o

Just go out and do what we all love to do - F-I-S-H! Catch 'dem green little critters.

As always, there are going to be two draws, one at the meeting and the other the morning of the tournament when there are odd people out. Every year I've been with the club there are a couple extra people who end up making the tournament along with a couple people that couldn't make it. Just the way it goes.

Hopefully, I'll be able to make it and if there is an odd man out, I'll be more than glad to fish by myself and go with my chances with a 5 fish limit over the teams that can get 7. All of us are here for the fun of it and if I do fish, it will be a bonus for me since I did not plan on fishing this event.

Hope to see you guys out there!

Todd

Well said Dave and good point Todd. One thing to keep in mind though even if your odd man out on the second draw the morning of the tournie everybodys name goes back in the hat for another draw and the odd man is paired up with him.The guy that gets drawn for the odd man will now in fact be on 2 teams, therefore he must keep track of his individual fish and then add the weight up accordingly with his other teammates fish.So nobody will be limited to only having to bring in FOUR fish, you can still bring 7 if you and your partner can catch`em.Make sense?
