Well today was the day of days for me. Erlyer this year got a personal best at lake Chabot using a senko that went just a tad under 10lbs. A Few weeks before my buddy caught a 11lber on a senko.And now its a few months down the road and needless to say Mr Yamimoto has my acount number for all the $$$ I have spent on his baits but not today. Now don't get me wrong fella's I love yamimoto baits but my budget dosent love them. Today i finally got my buddy to go out to chabot with me we started out fishing senlos weightless with no luck . The wind was pounding the crap out of us on the point so bad it blew my marker bouy half way across the lake. After chasing down my marker bouy we started pitching some tubes jigs senkos and brushhoggs we got nothing but I dink on the texas rigged rainbow senko. then buy buddy breaks out the knock off senkos and from then on that's all we used. my buddy caught 8 fish loosing 2. 2 of the fish went around 4lbs other 2 fish about 3lbs and the rest were small . after about the 4th fish i had to sneak one of these knockoff and give it a try first cast felt a small ticvk tick and boom new persomal best 13.55lbs on the knock off wallmart senko what a nice fight on a medum action lamaglass spinning rod with a symetry reel. the fish was 3.8lbs from the lake record just to think if the fish would of are a few more trout i would be the man.well here is the pic its kinda weird shaped cuz it was a poliroad pic I had to scan and rezize.

Thats a monster dude congrats! I have never even used a real senko I pour all my own! I am hoping to break my BP (14.2) this year! Now that I have a boat and a kickbaot it is gonna happen anyday (I hope)

Were those baits the "Kinami Flash" baits? If so, they actually are Senkos made by Yamamoto. They're just re-named and put in smaller packages to make them less expensive for K-Mart, Wal-Mart, etc.

WalMart also sells Wave Worms Tiki Sticks (they're only about $3-$4 for 10pcs), which I use all the time fun-fishing. I save the expensive stuff for the tourneys...

dyeah i think they erer called stick-o's in a watermellon color. Its kinda weire 2 of the bigges bass in less than months I'd better knock on wood metal concrete or something I might never catch a bass like that for who knows how long. What I hope to gain from this is to be able to keep an open mind when out on the watter and to not get so fixed into a certain pattern when i run into those really tough days.
