#12949, "2003 BNT rule changes"

With the start of the new season. I want to make sure you all take a look at the 2003 rules, since there are some changes. #20 is important if you show up with out a light you will not be able to blast off till 15 minutes after everyone else goes.

The white light i am using can be picked up at west Marine, but I have also seen them at K-Mart, and sportsmart. I is small and runs off of 2 D-cell batteries.

Looks like there's a word missing in Rule #20: should it say, "*be* in position..."???

Also, re: the B.A.S.S. Federation rules, are we going to establish a meeting schedule, per their statement about regularly-scheduled meetings? (I would think once a quarter would suffice, or just say we meet at the tourneys -- or maybe at just the 2-day ones)?

Here is the store in Fremont
http://www.rei.com/stores/fremont/index.html

Here's a decent headlamp for 20 bucks
http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&productId=858&parent_category_rn=4500596

Petzel is the brand of the good ones. You can search for "Petzel" on the REI website and see all kinds of headlamps.

IFISH say's,

Oh yeah, i know where that is now. Lake, if you go 680 North, exit Durham, go left and when you get to the overpass, look to your left side and it's basically in the same parking lot as home depot( to the right of home depot ). What's even funnier, i work about 2 minutes from there. DUH me ! Thanks Rob for the tip, that's super close to me.

Wal-Mart, Sportmart, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, Mel Cotton's?

I presume a headlamp qualifies for the 'white light' requirement? Or does it have to be affixed to the boat?

The head lamp is fine...its what I will be using as well. I just want everyone to have a white light on for 15 minutes after I call safe light. How you do it is up to you.
