I moved to orange county recently and was looking to buy a kickboat. I don't want anything expensive and I' not brand specific either. I'm looking for something basic, that doesn't have all the bells and wistles, kind of on a budget starting out. I need something that I can add on to later without a lot of problems to turn into a serious fishing machine. My only requirement is that it needs to have an aluminum frame, just in case I want to take it into the ocean or something. :-)

Check out the blue heron 9. Not because I have one, but because it's made by Outcast. It's 9' long with an aluminum take down frame. And @ $450 it's a good investment. If you buy the closest version from Outcast, it would cost you about $700.

I just checked and it's on sale right now for $350.
