I have a question for you guys since I plan to fish at least a couple tourney's with you guys next year, delta event(if its on schedule) and invite. Whats the deal with #8

8. Weight in All Fish – Even if possible that a Disqualification could occur:
It was decided that all legal fish brought to the scale 13" or more will be weighted, regardless of a possible disqualification.

Maybe I am missing the point but if its a legal fish how could i be DQ for weighing them in.

If for some reason there is some sort of problem during the tournament and the officers need to evaluate the situation, we want to weigh in the fish first and then the officers can decide if further measures need to be taken before the awards meeting.

Rich for President and Bill for VP. You guys will do a great job, congrats.

Allowing oars, very cool. About time :P

I have to say though this rule kinda sux...."NO Kayaks allowed during any SCBBBC tournament"

One question though, was the BNT Delta Open and Clear Lake Open added to the SCBBBC schedule and will it count for SCBBBC points?

It was voted on to not to add the BNT Delta to our events. Scheduling is suposed to not schedule the SCBBBC Tournament/s on the same dates so we could fish with BNT if we wanted to (not for points).

We did not discuss the Clear Lake event. The final real decision will be made by the BOD at the January Meeting.

If you have something you want them to coordinate or include in scheduling be sure you tell one of the BOD so they can have it in their notes in January.

Lake, yes the clear lake open will be on our schedule and points will count. No change there! The Delta open is not, but we will schedule our July scbbbc tourney around the Delta open so we that want to fish it still can.

I don't think it should matter if dude fishes from on top of a surfboard.
It's all man powered
Where it matters most is when dudes jumps in their motor vehicle (Runs)
to pick up his or her fish then returns to the weigh-in location.

Now that’s weak sauce!

Weak & scared = meow

Joe, I know exactly what you mean. Why, at the last big tournie I fished, when I saw Gary Dobyns fire up his big motor, my first thought was, “Wimp!” If he & the rest of those pantywaists in their fancypants bass boats had any cajones, they’d deep-six those stern-mounted gas guzzlers, drop their trolling motors & go fishing, like real men.

In fact, at the 100% TOC at Shasta, just before blast-off, I turned to the D-man, & I said, “D-man – oars only!” He just lit a cigarette & turned the key.

It’s a cold world, man. Cold.

We should all go back to the roots of the SCBBBC. I’m talking about when there was no running. No pontoons. No oars. Not even fins! We had to rely on naturally occurring water currents while we kicked our feet like madmen to get around places like Lake Ilsanjo. Now, that was fishing.

(Sorry, Joe. I couldn't resist. Just kidding! Dang, I'm funny!)

I voted for Beacon Harbor, had a great time with BNT this year, won the Bobby Barrack trip, and look forward to doing it again in 2006.

Unfortunately the majority at the meeting voted otherwise. It does not mean that the BOD can't do something different when they set the schedule at the January Meeting }(

See you all on the water next season (and tomorrow at Frosty Yorte) :P

Thx for the congrats,I think we have a great staff and its going to be a lot of fun working with them.As far as the kayak situation goes the vote seemed to be really close and if Gordon still has some interest in fishing our invite I would definately suggest to our members another vote to allow him to do so.Especially if B-n-T is going to a points system this year and is including the invite as points.Has BNT decided this yet?As far as the Delta open counting for points this year it didnt happen but maybe next year the vote was somewhat close as well, its tough to mandate three tournies that are 2 dayers for the year.J.C your killin me on the running thing, lol. We can converse on this issue over a couple of beers the next time I see you homey.Looking forward to the new season and I want to personnally thank Rich for taking on the presidency for the year, you da man. :7

Just to throw a monkey wrench into that thought, I've recently been thinking that 3 big two-day tournies a year tend to make the events a bit less unique. Maybe just one is better. Maybe like having a "U.S. Kickboat Bass Fishing Championship"?!?

Just a thought. It's time has come.
