I just purchased a creek company SUB714, it is a float tube kick boat hibrid. I was wondering if any of you guys could offer suggestions for coustomizing my new rig. I am in dire need of some sort of rod holders, and a way to keep my ors out of the water while I am fishing. Any suggestions would be appriceated. If you want to look at what the boat looks like they have some good pictures on the creek company web site. It was a great buy from Cabelas only $169.00. Thanks

Hey John

Nice boat.. I have a kickboat and a Uboat. On my Uboat
I have a fish finder and a 3 pole holder on the left
side of my tube. I got a 3 foot PVC pipe and straped
it to my tube. I used valco strapes to hold it on. On the
PVC pipe I connected a hummingbird fishfinder on a adjustable
rod ( paint brush rod ) so you could adjust the conducter into
the water by hand. Then I connected the rod onto the PCV
piping. I them connected a 3 pole holder made by Berkley
on the PVC piping near the back. The 9 volt battery I placed
in on of the side bags. This turned out to be a very cool rig
and easy to get to my rods. Good luck.

Best Fishes
Gene :)

Any chance of getting a picture? What you've said leaves too much to the imagination.

Tight lines,

http://www.floattuber.com/TubinTip.rodrack.htm this is the one that i made...almost, i tricked mine out a little such as instead of the velcro to hold the rods in place i have got screws...1 screw per rod on each side, an you don't need the surgical tubing. i just use some string an tie it to the d rings on my tube. an where your rods will lay you can put some cotton so you don't scratch those loomis blanks, haha. this is in my opinion the best one out there for tubes. ~Angler Andy
