Hello all,
Im all for keeping our great fishing waters protected and clean..but $11 bucks to take my kayak out for an hour or two after work on a friday? Sheesh. Is there any way to put in here without having to park in the lot and pay the fees? I have a cart and can travel with my yak pretty easily...of course this doesnt mean careening down the side of a cliff!

Since 911 you will be ticketed (and maybe more)if ya park on the road there.I remember when you could park by the little damn and fish all night :o Now all we can do is pay the crazy fee's.Did they go up?When I launch my boat there I think it's only$9.00. Swampy

There is another entrance way at the south end, by the ranger station, you can park for free but it's about a 1/4 of a mile to walk to the water when the lake is full. With the lake being so low right now it would be tuff to launch a yak. If you had a float tube - no problem. Good luck!

Buy a venture pass...well worth it. I bought one after I eventually counted all the green tickets that were laying around my car. Plus you don't have to deal with that stupid machine anymore and you can fish any silly valley lake without paying anymore fees. I would agree that it sucks to have to pay for hand launching a vessel though.
