I know we did, were about 7 miles from the epicenter. Rocked us pretty good, Best one we have felt in years. All is good though.

I called work right after and asked if they were shake, rattle, and rollin! We felt it pretty good here in Santa Cruz but I am sure it wasn't as fun as it was for you San Jose folks!

P.S. - I know I sound like a total wuss bag right now, but the big one of 89' really jacked me up. I got left inside my Aunt's house, under a table ( I was 9 ), duck & covering as I was taught, while they ran outside and screamed for me to get out. It just sucked and even small ones make me an emotional wreck.

Yup, things were jumping up in the Jackson Oaks neighborhood above Lake Anderson. My wife & I both jumped up to make sure the flat-panel didn't come crashing down off the mantle (it is secured with a couple of screws & some picture wire, but it was waving around pretty good). The wife kind of freaked, the dogs started scampering around & barking (probably more a reaction to my wife's screams & her lurching jump off the couch!). We didn't see either of our cats until about 3 hours afterward.

We lost several lamps, one decorative urn, and some pictures fell off the wall -- and one wall has a big tear on the line between the drywall & the beam. The paint chipped away from floor to ceiling.

I imagine we felt as strong a jolt as anyone in the surrounding area. I thought we'd see a number higher than 5.6, but I guess it is what it is. They did say it seemed to push energy more south than anything, so I think we were directly in the path of its strongest waves. Not sure if the lake had anything to do with it (and I haven't heard any reports of damage to the dam -- I'd hate to see this weekend's Coyote tourney be impacted by some damage survey or whatever). In any case, I knew as we were going through it that it was the biggest we've seen since '89.
