#46370, "My Naci Report"

Well it was one hell of a tourney. Naci never gets old and is always a fun event. It was very cool to have some past members back and a couple of new ones. I want to say thanks to Scott and everyone else that brought down the food for Saturday night. I know I got some leftovers for lunch on Sunday. So Scott I want to say thanks again for the garlic bread tri tip sandwich, man that was good.. You are the BBQ king man.

Day 1
Wow the lake was extremely low and I kind of knew most of the spots I usually fish were not at all going to fish the same, if they were worth trying. Well I knew of one in particular that I figured would. So I headed out to that spot. I had a new graph for this event so I stopped a little short of where I wanted to start since I didn't have anyone around. I noticed fish on my graph right away so I threw out and got one right away, and then another bite the next cast that I missed, throwing a shakey head smaller beaver. Someone was approaching so I decided to row a fe more minutes to get to my spot. It's pretty much a 50 yard bluff wall that is 30' feet deep 5 yards from shore. When I get there I throw a pro senko and caught a couple more within the first few casts. I ended up getting a limit and started culling by 8:15-8:30. After that I basically went back and forth between a 300-500 yard stretch hitting a few key spots fishing very slow, which for me was the key. The only deep water I fished was the 50 yard bluff wall. I happened to find out that the blank looking shoreline sitting 40 yards off the shore in 20' of water casting towards the shore into 10' and finding whatever felt different and making sure I worked my bait a little slower through these little stretches worked very well with 3 different baits. The beaver, pro senko, and Zappu hook with a swamp crawler. I caught fish all day. I did mostly use the beaver in shallower water and the worms in the deeper water.

Day 2 I didn't do anything different. Started in the same spot catching a couple and then moving to the wall for a limit then just cruising back and forth between my few key spots I found.
