SLM has your link thats the best way. Unless your like me then just set it at a med speed and keep the sensetivity low and play with it until you get the display you want. Alot of it is personal preference and varies depending on where you are at

That sounds like a Lowrance model. Go to their website and click the sonar tutorial on the left side of the page. You'll find useful info there...
