My fiend David and I were float tubing the backlakes one morning and he has a round float tube. So any ways he decided to jump in the water with his rig and he flipped upsid down, I rushed over to held but by the time I got there he had already got out of his float tube and swam to shore. The moral of this story is be prepared for the unexspected. I carry a pocket knife in the front poutch of my waders in case of an emergancy. C.B.

Thanks for providing the link to that write-up, Rob. Very well-written & interesting. I've heard that the waders are very buoyant. I think Mike Bogges took a plunge a few years ago while fishing out of a boat with Jared Stone. If I remember right, he said it was hard to get back in the boat because his legs were floating up so much in the waders (he had them on to stay warm on a cold day @ Clear Lake).
I've always figured that the worst problem would be doing a 180 in a tube in the dark. That would freak you out @ the least.
