I'm looking for just a small aluminum boat, 10-12 feet preferably. Doesn't even need a motor, I've got a small trolling motor already, I just need a plain-jane boat for getting around some small ponds I fish regularly. I have a five man inflatable raft right now and it works for two people, but after the battery, the tackle box, the net, poles and whatnot, it get's kinda tight, haha. If anyone's got an old empty boat laying around, let me know. And by the way, anyone know what the requirement is on registration? I heard anything under 12 feet doesn't need to be registered. Is this true? Thanks.

If you're from the Central Coast area, Lopez Lake Marina is selling off some used rentals, 12-14' v-hull aluminum boats. I picked one up a couple of weeks ago for $350. Let me know and I can get you a phone number.
ANY boat with a motor(including a trolling motor) needs to be registered in California, including inflatables.

Might have one but need to see if my Dad wants to get rid of it. Has a little 6hp along with trolling motor. Also, the trailer is NOT in working order as a big limb fell on it! x(

He does have some motors, 6HP I think. You'll have to ask him but I think he said $450 for the running outboards and $350 if they need some "minor" work. I'll email you the number.
