Went to White Slough this morning but plans changed, wives and kids came and there was no place for them to hang around and play. So we went to Contra Loma, expensive but a nice place to fish. Water and weather were great water was low 60's and air was mid 80's slight wind. I needed to practice dropshoting so me and my father in-law Mike Casey dropshotted most of the day (4 hours). Caught some dinks on yamamotos 4" curl tail worms smoke with purple and black flake and proworms 4" paddle tail green with purple. Our hooks were set up anywhere from 8"-12" all in front of the tule lines. My big fish of the day came on a proworm 4" paddle tail purple death, just over 3lbs (3lbs 3oz). I lost a bigger fish on a 1/2 oz black and blue jig with a blue grub trailer in front of some tules due to my drag not being set right. This fish was about 4lbs it was bigger then the one I caught. In all it was a great 1/2 day of fishing, We will be fishing White Slough for sure on Sunday June 13. I hope everyone else had a good day.
