Had a great fishing day, broke my personal best twice in one day. I started float tubing at 7:30am at the South end of Coyote. I threw a xfmas colored 6 inch senko to some trees and pulled out a 5.1 pounder (up to that point my pb was a 3 pounder :) I was totally stoked and took some pictures. After I let the fish go I made another cast to the exactly the same location, then another bite after a thirty seconds battle I got a glimpse of the fish. Damn itfs huge! Much bigger than the previous 5 pounder, after about another thirty seconds battle I lipped the fish. I took a quick picture and weighed the fish, the scale went back and forth between 13 and 12 and eventually settled at 12.11! I needed a photo with this fish, I tied the fish to a line and kicked back as fast as I could to shore. I flagged down a park ranger, asked him to take a picture, and then released the fish. What a great day!

Right on, dude! Congrat's on your new PB(s)! Them hawgs're certainly out there -- glad you were able to latch on to one! ('Course, everyone here knows that Coyote's home to *my* 3 PB's, as well).
Hmmm... guess it's about time to head back down there! Late winter/early spring has been known to produce some big fish @ the 'Yote -- not to say that they're not showing up throughout the year, of course.
I've been thinking of doing some overnighters out there in the RV. I'll let y'all know when I decide to go; I could probably fit 2 other kickboaters in the rig. Let me know if any of you might be interested in joining me! We could drop the k'boats (or tubes) in right below the campground.
Thanks for sharing those pics!
