Went to Hendry's beach today, fished the peak high tide and tried my new barbless hooks. Well, it was a total failure. Catch and release? Ha! Try hook and release. I hooked maybe 7-8 perch that came unbuttoned (never usually happens to me) and only landed 2 perch that were 9 and 10 inches.
The most interesting part of my day came when I was driving back up Las Positas towards hwy 101. This silver mitsu eclipse swerved into oncoming traffic to pass me (illegally), gave me the bird and yelled something. Then at the stop light the guy gets out of his car and threatens to kill me as he runs at my car. He was yelling at me to get out of my car, that he was going to kick my a**. The dude had a stun gun in his hand and ran towards my car, clicking the stun gun as he ran. Just like in the movies, it made a zapping sound. He got about 3 feet from my car, but fortunately the light turned green and I floored it. As I looked back, he was threatening another car.
So, for any of you fishing Hendry's beach, its a great place to catch perch....but look out for a silver mitsu and a white guy, about 30 years old, 6', tan, dark hair, running around shirtless with a stun gun. AND, if you're reading this and you ARE that guy....guess what buddy, I called 911 and gave them a partial license plate and your description. See your butt on COPS ;-) ** tight lines make all my troubles go away **
