Nate,

Sounds like you just got a bad one. I would say that 98% of the baits run true out of the packaging but occassionally (rairly) I have had one that needed minor tuning. I've benn throwing these baits for about 8 years now and haven't had an occurance like you mentioned. It sounds like this bait was just a bad seed.
