I'm very sure that flourocarbon leaders work. I surf alot and the fish can be very line shy. As soon as the new line came out I bought some and tried it. I noticed that I would get more hits, but also catch bigger fish. So now I use everywhere except in rocky areas because even though it's basicly invisable underwater I feel that it gets damaged easliy. So now I catch more perch, corbina, halibut, and bass then before.
