#10670, "Hendry's 8/26 one perch"

My fiancee and I went for a walk on the beach at Hendry's last night. Being the romantic that I am, I brought my fishing rod hoping to get a perch or two.

Conditions were perfect, hardly any waves on the incoming tide. We saw an amazing site of a dolphin pod corraling a school of mackeral only about 40 yards off the shore. I was casting the big hammer swimbait hoping to get something, but no luck. I changed to the 1.5" grub and hooked up. I handed the rod to my fiancee and she brought in a 9" perch, only her second fish ever. She was excited, and of course, forgave me for bringing my fishing rod along on our walk ;-)

That was the only fish but had I had more time, the conditions were perfect for perch fishing and I'm sure I could have caught several more.

** tight lines make all my troubles go away **
