#13093, "2 reports (better late than never)"

Date: 12/11/04

Launch and Return: 7:30-11:30am

Totals: 8 legal Sandies, 1 legal spot, 1 chunky bonie, and 4 or 5 short bass

Baits: Assalt 5" "Salt Shakers and Ringer Worms" in Irish Wiskey and Oxblood. Storm "Wigglewort".

Scent: mine

Conditions: Warm at launch, about 9am the fog came in quick and thick and eventually burned off an hour or so later. Tide was ripping with a 7'+ swing outbound. Water temp was about ยบ60, air depended on sun or fog.

Special Comments: Went to Malibu Kayaks grand opening of their San Diego Store. Fun time there, free burgers and dogs. Lots of folks from the boards. I won a couple gifts. Heck, seemed like a post-tourney BBQ.

Areas fished: Boat launch to past shoal and back (north side of channel). All fish were caught in 25' or deeper.

**Areas that Produced: North point in channel by bouy (about 25' deep and towards "big 3"

Launch and Return: 8-11:30am

Totals: 1 legal sandie

Baits: Assalt Ringer Worm and Salt Shaker", 3/4oz. Lure Logic blade, Rapalla "Shad Rap" (my one fish ate this) in black and silver.

Scent: my own

Conditions: Hot and sunny. no wind, little tide movement.

Special Comments: Pretty much a brutal as far as fishing went. I don't know why but I spaced out and never tried any grubs. Probably would've helped a lot. I was fishing my X-factor for the first time, so I was kinda' pre-occupied with checking it out.

Areas fished: USCG to harbor mouth and back

You can't catch it again if it's dead!
