Yes this is true.
I notice if you don't allow the lure to dry Placed away back into the container condensation of water could from on the in side of the wall of the plastic tube. This could lead to premature rust.
With this in mind we cut out the ends of the caps to allow more air.
But always best to allow lures to have a chance in drying out. :)
