Anyways... Rob had good advice... If something isn't working for you, you need to change your methods of casting.

I think we all at one time or another have had issues if you do it enough. Just make sure you have the correct gear to throw swimbaits. When I started throwing big baits exclusively in the early to mid 90's, I was using a flipping stick and was killing myself. As soon as I switched to a better rod to throw them with, the pain went away.
