First, thanks to everyone that posted in my original kickboat recommendations thread. Your info helped a lot in my purchase.

I went to the San Mateo Sportsmen's Expo to finally get an in person look at some of the boats. I looked at a few waterskeeters and some Outcasts. Then I came up on the Dave Scadden booth. I fell in love with the Skykomish Sunrise. After lots of debate and an approval phone call to the wife, I bought the Scadden boat for $999. He threw in an anchor rope, anchor, pump, extended foot rests and a discount on shipping ($30). I've wanted one of his boats forever, but the price was always pretty high. It should be here in a week or so. Hopefully if things slow down at work I'll be trying it out in the next few weeks.

It's 10'6" with a 700lb weight capacity. My next project will be to setup a second seat so I can take the Mrs. or a friend.
